It stands right next to Islam’s holiest site and has been an attraction for many pilgrims since 2012. It also holds the record for being the tallest clock tower in the world till date. Did you know that you could read the time from it from seventeen kilometers away? The most mesmerizing feature of this skyscraper is the fact that the clock face enlightens at night by one million LED beams that give it the green and white glow. The dial for the Makkah clock tower is actually thirty-five times greater than that of London’s Big Ben. Shanghai Tower

This tower, in fact, cost more money to be built than the tallest building (The Burj Khalifa) cost. This skyscraper broke the record for the furthest-traveling single elevator at 578.5 meters. Taking its time, this building took a total of seven years to be constructed. It is the second-highest hotel in the world and has a beautiful observation deck for people to enjoy. Being a commitment of China to the ecosystem, the Shanghai Tower is green in color and promotes environment responsiveness. The great detail about it is that the 120-degree twist that the building carries, is intended to reduce the wind load by up to twenty-four percent. This allowed the construction team to use visibly less operational steel than any other non-environmental design of a similar height. It can also accommodate a whopping number of sixteen thousand people at one time. The Shanghai Tower is simply astonishing.

Willis Tower

The Willis Tower is positioned in Chicago, Illinois and is one of the top fifteen skyscrapers in the world. The height for the total structure is 1,451 feet that also include its dual antenna towers. It is the second tallest building in North America and carries a total of one hundred and ten stories. Being a few of the oldest skyscrapers, the Willis Tower was built in 1973 and took roughly a total of 2,000 workers to build it in 3 years. A really fun fact about this skyscraper is that on a perfect day, you can actually see a total of four states from the deck including Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. The reason for this is that the visibility from the sky deck of the tower is approximately 40-50 miles. It carries the aura of rich American heritage and the structure depicts the true history behind it. It remained the world’s tallest building until 1998.

With an impressive height of 1,588 feet, this skyscraper carries up to one hundred and eighteen floors.
