The Singapore-based funeral service provider supports families with funeral planning, care and collection of the deceased, wake arrangements, religious coordination, cremation and other arrangements required following a death. Its services cover Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Roman Catholic, Soka and non-religious funeral arrangements.

24-Hour Support for Families

Funeral arrangements may need to be initiated at short notice, particularly when a death occurs at home, in a hospital or under other circumstances. Harmony Funeral Care provides 24-hour assistance to help families understand the immediate steps involved and determine the arrangements required.

Following the initial contact, the funeral team discusses the family's preferences, religious or cultural requirements, wake arrangements and proposed funeral schedule before arrangements are confirmed.

"Funeral arrangements are personal to every family. We take time to understand their traditions and requirements before arranging the funeral," said a representative of Harmony Funeral Care.

Supporting Different Religious and Cultural Requirements
Funeral practices can vary according to an individual's religious beliefs, cultural traditions and family preferences. Harmony Funeral Care works with families to coordinate the relevant religious and practical arrangements based on their requirements.

For Buddhist funeral services, the 1-hour response focuses on immediate guidance, explaining the next steps, required documentation, and collection of the deceased where applicable. Detailed arrangements such as monk chanting, incense and offerings, religious rites, wake setup, casket arrangements and cremation coordination are then discussed with the family in a follow-up planning session to reflect the Buddhist traditions they wish to observe.

More Than Six Decades of Family Heritage

Harmony Funeral Care's involvement in the funeral profession dates back to 1963, when Hock Hin Undertaker was established by Mr Tee Hock Chwee. The family's involvement in funeral services has continued across three generations.

The company draws on this longstanding experience while adapting its funeral planning and support services to the requirements of families today.

Supporting Families Through the Funeral Process
From the initial call through to the completion of the funeral, Harmony Funeral Care provides support across the various stages of funeral planning. These may include the collection and care of the deceased, funeral arrangements, wake setup, religious coordination, funeral-day arrangements and cremation.

The company said its approach is to discuss arrangements with each family before they are confirmed, recognising that funeral requirements can differ according to religious practices, cultural traditions and individual preferences.Hashtag: #HamonyFuneralCare
